The Atlantic & Pacific Exchange Program (APEP) is a one-of-a-kind organization, thanks to a specialism that is as unique today as it was when APEP was founded: high-level international study trips arranged for governments and businesses, either upon request or on an invitation basis.
Non-profit, neutral and independent, APEP was established in 1983 with the aim of improving mutual understanding between the Netherlands and the United States by promoting first-hand exchanges of knowledge. Founded by an American journalist (Bob Williams, who remained APEP's president until his retirement in 1995) and headquartered in Rotterdam, APEP soon expanded its activities to East Asia (mainly China and Japan), Canada, and other parts of Europe.
.jpg&Size=200) It is with deep regret that we learned of the passing of our Chairman Hans Dijkstal. We are very grateful for his leadership, dedication and commitment to our organization. We will remember him as a warm, positive thinking man, with a good sense of humour and a sincere interest in his fellow man. He will be greatly missed.
Our thoughts and sympathy are with his wife Anneke and family. We wish them strength with this great loss.
